Oscar Hammerstein II/Mike Wallace 1958 TV interview

The other night, I googled Oscar Hammerstein.  On the fifth or sixth page I found this superb interview of Oscar by Mike Wallace recorded in March of 1958.  What a treasure.  Here it is for your enjoyment.  Would love to hear your comments.

  1. Thank you Jessie. What a remarkable, poignant and timeless interview. Always new he was a great artist but did not know how wise and strong he was. btw. I highly recommend the production of “A Grand Night for Singing” at the fully restored, comfortable and beautiful Bucks County Playhouse. It is a tribute to Rogers and Hammerstein and feels wonderfully personal in its execution and its locale.
